| The basket by the door sits as a symbol of our belief that the offering you give is a free-will offering, given in response to the blessings you have received from God. When you come to worship and make a donation, the monies that are placed in this basket are used to support all of the ministries of the Covenant Church of Schaumburg. As the hymn reminds us, "Freely, freely you have received, freely, freely give." |
| Over the years, our "little church" has received offerings that are over and above the commitments made for the day to day operation of our church. Initially used to help reduce our mortgage payments, the monies received here have also been used to support short-term mission trips. |
